This is a Special Limited edition to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the express sleeping car train service "Hokutosei" operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR-East) and Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido) debuted in 1988.
The watch's dial is inspired by the front face of the Hokutosei, which is towed by the DD51 locomotive that runs between Hakodate and Sapporo. The blue dial features a gold band in the center and three in-dials that imitate the Hokutosei head mark and headlights at 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock.
The watch is presented in a special commemorative box. The watch is made in Japan which is a guarantee of quality. They are limited to 5,000 pieces each and only available in Japan,
