Grand Seiko introduced Japan’s first automatic 10-beat watch (61GS) in 1968, then the 10-beat modernized Caliber 9S85 were invented in 2009, that surpassed its origin, assembled with skills that are mastered over many decades of watchmaking history, this watch is equipped with such a power unit. The black dial is the subtle ‘Mount Iwate pattern’, a delicate and beautiful radial pattern, inspired by the many-ridged contours of the Mt. Iwate, the mountain that is visible through the windows of the Shizuku-Ishi Watch Studio where Grand Seiko mechanical watches are made.
