The Edo Purple sunray finish dial, in a subtly lighter tone than the other 3rd wave models, immediately distinguishes it from any standard Alpinist. Depending on the angle of light, the dial displays a subtle metallic brilliance while preserving the elegance of the traditional purple tone that inspired its creation.
The colour itself carries the story. Rooted in Japanese heritage and paired with a design descended from the Laurel Alpinist of 1959, the watch feels less like a conventional anniversary edition and more like a respectful meeting between Seiko's historical roots and one of its most enduring collections.
