The Grand Seiko Heritage Collection SBGW289 is a limited edition model to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the "44GS" design principle of Grand Seiko since 1967, the nine principles that the company uses distinctively for future designs and creations, which are usually referred to as the "Grand Seiko Style".

To mark this very special occasion, a specially crafted dial texture and the pink color of the new cherry blossom, when it is covered with snow, are used on this SBGW289, fully demonstrating the beauty of the early Spring phenomenon in Japan, which is known as Sakura-Kakashi, means ‘the hiding of the cherry blossom’.

Powered by the manual winding Caliber 9S64, the SBGW289 can achieve a compact and slim case with 36.5mm in diameter and 11.6mm in thickness, which is best for daily usage.
