In 2023, Casio collaborated with the HONDA motorsport specialist: MUGEN, to commemorate its 50th Anniversary in Japanese motor racing history!

Established in 1973 by HONDA Hirotoshi, the eldest son of Honda Motor Company founder HONDA Soichiro. Not only participating in professional motor races in Japan and around the world with its Team Mugen, Mugen also take part in a wide range of Honda motorsports-related activities. The watch is decorated with the theme colours of Mugen, and a triple stripes banner in Red, White and Gold is across the dial;

The "Mugen" character in Kanji is crafted near the 3 o'clock position; The numeric fonts on the bezel use the same fonts and production data as the shift knobs produced by the brand. The special stape on the ECB-40MU-1A band is made with "Alcantara", which is the same kind of material used in MUGEN race car seats. The watch is so rich in the properties of a Mugen race car!
