This limited edition timepiece follows the successful TLC collaboration in 2022 (GWG-2000TLC-1A). While currently announced in Japan and Asia, the watch is expected to be available worldwide.
Team Land Cruiser Toyota Auto Body (TLC) is the company team of Toyota Auto Body, a manufacturer within the Toyota Group known for producing minivans, commercial vehicles, and SUVs. TLC has been participating in the Dakar Rally, widely recognized as the world's most extreme rally, since 1995. In the recent Dakar Rally 2024, TLC achieved an impressive milestone by securing their 11th consecutive victory in the Stock (Production Car) category, with Car #501 finishing in 2nd place.
The design of the GW-9500TLC-1 draws inspiration from the Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport, the car raced by TLC in the Dakar Rally. It features a black and red color scheme, with the metal bezel coated in IP for a sleek black appearance complemented by red accents. The button at 3 o'clock and side surfaces are adorned with a red line, adding to the watch's sporty appeal. This design pays tribute to the durability and resilience of the Land Cruiser, capable of conquering the challenging 10,000-kilometer course.
The GW-9500TLC-1 is a tribute to the Dakar Rally 2024 and the participating Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport vehicle. Celebrating the team's remarkable victory, the black watch comes with a brown resin band featuring a printed black splatter pattern. The TLC logo is prominently displayed on the case back and appears in red on the display when the LED backlight is activated. As a commitment to sustainability, the watch comes in exclusive packaging made from recycled materials.
Capturing the essence of the rally's desert setting, the sand-colored band of the GW-9500TLC-1 showcases a black splatter pattern reminiscent of tracks left by racing vehicles in the sand.
