The movement is the thinnest and smallest diameter mechanical caliber dedicated to Seiko's current diver's watch, which means it reproduces the outer diameter of the small original model (38.0 mm). The power reserve is approximately 45 hours, and the average daily difference is +15 seconds to -10 seconds.
The Seiko Prospex SBEN003/SJE093 is a perfect example of Seiko's commitment to both inheritance and evolution. While complying with current quality standards for diver's watches, the product has been thoroughly verified and recreated, including the original model's size. The 150m waterproof specification of the original model has been upgraded to 200m waterproof for air diving. The windshield has also been changed from acrylic glass to box-shaped sapphire glass, which gives the watch the beauty and durability suitable for modern high-end machines. The strap is a fabric-like rubber strap reproduced with reinforced silicon material.
As proof of a waterproof watch, the back cover of the screwback has markings that imitate dolphins, which were also adopted for the 1965 model. Serial numbers from 0001/1965 to 1965/1965 are printed as proof of limited quantity.
The case material is stainless steel processed with a unique surface hardening technology called "Diashield," and the case size is 38.0 mm in outer diameter and 12.5 mm in thickness. The back cover of the screwback is marked with a dolphin, which was also used in the 1965 model as proof of the waterproof watch.
The Seiko Prospex SBEN003/SJE093 is priced at 462,000 yen and is limited to 1,965 worldwide, of which 500 are in Japan.
