On September 2, Seiko Watch announced the release of two limited edition reissues of the iconic “45GS,” a hand-wound mechanical marvel from over 50 years ago. Part of the Grand Seiko Heritage Collection, these models are set to captivate watch enthusiasts worldwide. The stainless steel SLGW005, limited to 1,200 pieces, and the 18K yellow gold SLGW004, limited to 200 pieces, will both be available starting November 2024.

The new models have a slightly larger case diameter of 38.8mm compared to the original 36mm, and feature durable sapphire glass instead of the original plastic windshield. The hands and indexes are updated with modern, onyx-like lines reminiscent of the 44GS.
